With these tools, you can speed up your editing process considerably. One of the most popular features in Pinnacle Studio, and one of the reasons it's been so successful, is the built in, user-friendly "clip tree" system. Clip trees are simply a system for organizing your projects, allowing you to keep track of your video edits in an easily manageable fashion. In addition to the built in "clip tree," Pinnacle Studio provides support for a wide range of third party libraries, including footage from FAST, Blue Screen Master, and many others. By allowing access to your own footage through a common interface, rather than having to individually search through files, you will save both time and money. In addition to libraries, there are also several transitions and special effects that Pinnacle has to offer. The last major feature available in Pinnacle Studio, and something that makes it stand out above most video editing software programs, is what is called the Avchd database. Avchd is Pinnacle's proprietary video Aviemode tool. The Avchd tool merges together all of your digital camera and film stock footage into one easy to control library. Avchd has the ability to re-size and edit clip segments, create fade ins and out ins, apply visual filters, adjust depth of field, and apply a host of other creative effects.
